This was a fun trip however the parts we most enjoyed were from Connersville to Batesville. There were plenty of turns to keep a smirk on my face. The ride from Batesville all the way up to Richmond was really boring. Ideally I think we should have road from Connersville to Batesville and then turned right back around and went up to Connersville again. On our way to Connersvlle though the road is closed we had to head a little further east than expected. It really wasn't that big of a deal and added maybe 5 more miles to our trip. We started in Fishers, IN and clocked in around 250 miles for the whole day there and back. It took us from 0900 to 1700 to complete the trip (we did make a lot of stops along the way.) The roads between Metamora and batesville were the best. Be careful though, there is a bit of gravel on the road. I think they must have recently repaved the road because the gravel is black and you can hardly make it out from the road. All of rear wheels slipped out from under us at some point to be a little cautious. Other than that, it was fun. We are looking at taking a few more rides of this site in the future.

I have to start this review by admitting that I am a little biased about this particular ride. I grew up in the area and have traveled these roads since I was a child. With that said, around here, this is one of the best rides you can take on a motorcycle; I do it several times a year. You get some of the finest East-Central Indian has to offer, hills, curves, trees, and rivers. It is also a historic area; you will travel alongside the canal that once ran from Hagerstown to Cincinnati, so history buffs may enjoy the sites. I agree with the other reviewer who said the ride to Richmond was rather boring, not much to see. Even so, Richmond, situated on I-70, has all of the restaurants and hotels you might need when traveling through the area. In addition, this loop is near both I-70 and I-74 and since it is a short ride, anyone passing through will enjoy this scenic diversion. There are some eateries along the way in Connersville, Metamora and Brookville, no worries about fuel either. Take some time and adjust your route to Brookville Reservoir, the largest body of water in the area. Right now, State Road 121 from Connersville to U.S. 52 is under construction and closed. You may want to postpone your trip or consider picking up US 52 in Rushville and following it to Brookville.

As stated, very nice ride. Metamora has a huge flea market late in the summer.

Only did cornersville to batesville and it was a blast! It was a lot of fun curves. This turned out to be my moms favorite route and we have ridden several on this website so far.

121 was nice although currently (June 2021) there a detour because a bridge is out. Not a bad detour using your GPS and a couple of gravel roads.

This trip has everything that I want in a ride. Beautiful scenery with some nice small towns to grab some food and rest your backside.
