Motorcycle Type : Cruiser

I would like to suggest an alternative to this route. When leaving Savanna, take Ridge road to Derinda Rd. Derinda Rd. to US 20. WB on US 20 into Elizabeth, IL. On west edge of Elizabeth, take the Scales Mound blacktop north to StageCoach Trail. West on Stagecoach into the back side of Galena. Through Galena back to Rt. 20 WB to Dubuque, Ia. Lots of curves, good pavement and scenery along this route.

Motorcycle Type : Touring

The bridge between Sabula and Savana is a steel grate bridge. It is very slick even when dry. I always try to stop in the middle and look down, you can see the water thru the bridge. If you want more curves go north of Dubuque toward Balltown Ia.
