Excellent ride and beautiful scenery. The smell of balsam fir mixing with the smell of the ocean. We make this trip almost every year and still enjoy it. There are a great set of cabins just before the park entrance (1/2 -1 mile)

We rode this loop from Ellsworth, ME, at the beginning of leaf peeping season, Oct 2015. Ellsworth has more hotel/food options than Trenton. The Acadia Park Loop was a wonderful experience, although a short distance to travel. A nice day included Cadillac Mtn, Jordan Pond, and time shopping in Bar Harbor. We will return to this and other great Maine back roads.

We spent the week in Maine and traveled all through the park a couple of times. This route through the park is pretty cool to ride. Nothing to difficult or super exciting, but the scenery is well worth it. Weekdays and a bit off season is the best time to go. Otherwise the roads can be clogged with traffic.
