As of July, 2019: Road is being resurfaced. Until July 8th, road is closed for culvert replacement. Until Aug? road will be selectively closed to 1 lane with flagpersons and leading vehicle. Project reports no delays (7/7/19)

Road this yesterday on a run down 35 in Wis. then through Wabasha to 52 then home. This was by far the most fun section of the run. Most worthy of a good lean.

This route is great, although in recent years has seen much more highway patrol presence. Lots of great twisty sections, just don't get stuck behind a car or truck, because there are very few sections to pass (even for the daring).

This is an excellent route. One caution, watch for deer in the early morning and late in the day.

Hearing the update about the resurfacing on this road was great news. The last time i took it, in late 2018 the tar stripe nazis had painted it up with there devil goop and i wrote the road off as a loss for the next few years. I will have to check it out when its done and opened back up for shredding. I will post any significant knowledge to pass on.

Very good route with good scenery, lots of winding sections and new pavement. Go early in the morning, if you can. Traffic starts to build up as the day progresses.
