This ended up being a real snoozer. Hwy 24 had lots of heaved sections that jar your back if you're not ready for them. Fields, flat and straight for the most part, felt like it would never end.

Combined this ride and County Rd H, 224 was flooded, very easy ride, 99 percent two lane. Never felt pushed by traffic, Had to wait till Lexington before there was anyplace to take a break.

One of the best rides I have been on, and two week ago, rode and found a sign saying the bridge would be done by mid April 2011. If someone knows more, it would be great to ride it once it is open.

Great ride, but currently (July, 2010) the bridge on Highway 224, about 2 miles east of Wellington, is being replaced and Highway 224 is closed at this location. Work has been slowed down on this project due to flooding by the Missouri River. Catch Highway 224 at Lexington and run the rest of the route from that point.

Not a bad ride. We went on a day that started pouring on us and we were basically trying to outrun storms the whole time. We will be doing this ride again this spring/summer for sure.

Great ride for a warm sunny day. Good views! Heavy on the traffic towards the end. Plenty to stop and do to make a full day out of.

Highway 224 running by the river is the best part. Honestly the entire half of the ride that's north of the river has very little going for it. South of the river there's wineries, vineyards, orchards, small town Americana, and just enough curve in the road to keep you awake. The best thing to say about the route north of the river is that it is relaxing in a turn-your-cruise-control-on-and-your-mind-off kind of way. Not bad, but not great.
