The pavement is awesome with very little gravel. Love the twist and turns and elevation changes. The only reason not giving 5 stars is because of the multiple blind hills and curves and the road is somewhat narrow. It is quite challenging that commands your full attention. Otherwise, loved it!

Rode full length both ways today. Road is in good shape. One construction single lane with STOP light. Little gravel here and there. Only a couple rough spots. It’s not hard for experienced riders to ride but it is difficult to ride it well. Majority of turns are not banked or off camber, many blind hills and some with a little turn to them. Even flat straights can be tilted. Corners are mostly marked with signs but the middle third doesn’t have corner speeds posted like the rest of it does. Just adds to the adventure. Also a few tractors and Amish buggies. 555 is a unique treasure really. ET 1:15-1:30 each way on a bagger.

Great Car Cruise! The "Columbus Ohio Veloster Enthusiasts" and "Ohio Velosters" car clubs run the Triple Nickle in the Spring and in the Fall. We love this road. Really good for putting our little cars to the test. We started trying to stop at the Triple Nickel Diner now for every trip to bring them some business and the get their GREAT Food! Definately a sweet little piece of Ohio Countryside!

Just rode this Route a week ago (May 2025). It really held up to all the Hype this road gets. It was a fantastic ride. Lots of curves and a lot of elevation changes. Most impressive was the road conditions. All the pavement was smooth, with very little cracks. And, it is very well marked with road signs and chevrons showing upcoming turns and suggested speed limits. Highly recommended.
