Went for 4 days in April with 70-75 Deg. temps. The artist loop is a one way road which no one should miss. Roads in very good condition. Fantastic views. Caught air on the roller coaster section. Do this in early spring.

This ride was a great experience. Especially for a good ole boy from the foothills of the Appalachians.

Aweseome experience and stay at the Furnace Creek Resort if you can! I went at the beginning of March, and the roads were in perfect shape with temps around 55. The West end of this road hits mountains with higher elevations, more technical, and absolutely stunning scenery. Make sure that you keep your tank full because I only saw gas in Furnace Creek (cash only), Stovepipe wells, and Emigrant. I did not check Stovepipe, but Emigrant only had 86 octane.

Death Valley is a great ride, no matter which roads you take.....provided it's under 90F! There isn't any shade out there and not many places to get out of the sun.
A great place to spend a night or two.

Loved this ride! Actually had a mild day the morning we ran it, temps were not bad at all. Twisty's an elevation changes surprised us, wasn't expecting it.

The scenery is like being on a different planet, the roads are sweeping and in perfect shape. There are passing zones where I think many not be able to see over some of the roller coaster humps which I could see might create many ill advised passes, but no problems for me today. If you're riding to and from northern CA to Vegas, this is the way to do it. Be prepared that Death Valley can be 20 degrees hotter than Pahrump and Panamint Springs so reload your cooling vests with ice and water at those spots when you're coming in.

Started the ride as the sun came up to beat the midday heat. Not a particularly challenging ride but some nice subtle scenery. Lot of pastel colors in some sections like Artist Drive and Zabriskie Point. Have to go to Badwater Basin for the lowest point in north America and then to Dantes View 5000 feet above Badwater.

take care riding this in the summer. My girlfriend was a heat casualty, luckily she was able to cool off/recover in the last gas station heading north. Wear lose clothing that covers your skin to reduce the brutal effects of the sun.

It can be HOT! So, take your lighter armored gear. But it is one of the most amazing places in the US. I recommend riding it in the spring, if you're lucky you'll catch one of those "super-blooms" that happens after a rainy winter. The wildflowers are stunning, on top of the desert. The geology blows your mind, if you're into the rock thing.

Very popular ride for Socal and Nevada riders. Amazing scenery of Death Valley with miles of solitude. Stop at the lowest point in the US, then Stovepipe for some hydration. Then just a short return to the bright lights of Vegas.

A must, if you're in the area. Just, avoid July and August... Unless you're fireproof.
