There has been replacement of culverts and the addition of expanded metal bridges. These are not real smooth just be careful.

A most excellent ride! We actually missed a few of the turns around Sweetwater Lake, and it turned out to be every bit as gorgeous anyway. We finally made it to the route, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The road has deteriorated very much, the southern half is in bad shape and very rough pavement with many patches of different grade and age. It is still a beautiful scenery to ride through but I would recommend a slow leisurely pace as the condition of the pavement changes quite frequently.

This route is great during the fall; you go in and out of many wooded areas toward the latter half (near Nashville). I personally loved the valley in Gatesville, filled with farms and ridge riding. The roads could be a bit better, just keep an eye out for the rough spots.

Followed mainly the described route, except I went around the loops on both lakes. Very pretty detour, plenty of turns and hills. Developed region, be aware of joggers, dogs, etc.

Nice cruiser ride, especially in the fall and... it keeps you away from the very heavily congested parts of the area. Much of the northern end is 25mph due to all the development around the lakes We looped around Sweetwater and Cordry lakes, may as well while your there. A bit of a challenge to stay on route, very easy to miss a turn. Pavement was good, scenery was good, not much traffic, there is an old general store in Taggart, Gatesville Country Store.

I always try to hit route 135 and this route when I'm heading through Indiana. Love the part by the lakes! Wooded area, hilly and curvy. Very enjoyable!
