Just as described by the OP. Awesome switchbacks in sections and other nice long sweepers by the Alsea River. Road still in great shape.

Love this ride. Lots of turns in some sections, scenic farmland in others. 5-10 riverside parks to pull off and relax. Take a side trip to the top of Mary's Peak about 10 miles west of Philomath. Twisty road 9 miles to the top for great views, but 10 degrees colder at the top, so don't start up if you're cold.

What a great way to head to the beach! Nice road with sweeping corners. Plenty of places to stop along the way.

Twisties, sweepers, straight stretches and outstanding scenery. You just can'g wrong with a ride like this.
