As the route creator said this is a nice freshly paved time-saving route if you are coming from 33 and wish to get North or 48 and wish to get South, this allows you to bypass 220 which would take you out of your way and has more traffic. We just call it West Virginia County Route 3. Sweedlin has nothing to do with Sweden. It's the town's founders last name. This extends to Sweedlin Valley, and therefore Sweedlin Valley Road.

We loved this ride! Fantastic pavement, shade, no traffic, very nice! Out of Moorefield heading south it starts out as South Fork Rd/CR-7, becomes Sweedlin Valley/CR-3 before ending at US-33. There is a Sunoco is about mile west off Sweedlin Valley Rd on US-33. Next time we're out is this neck of the woods, we'll definitely ride it again.
