Written Directions

Start at the M46 M37 instersection and head north on M37. This will take around Half Moon Lake where there is Casnovia Township Park and Moore County Park, through the small towns of Bailey and Ashland before going through Grant. After Grant continue north on M37 where for a while you will have no towns until you hit a small town called White Cloud. Continuing north you will hit another small town called Brohman which will be the last real town until you hit the Town of Baldwin. This ride has a little of both worlds with straight roads and plenty of curves to enjoy. If the weather is still good during the fall it's great for seeing the colors.

Scenery

Plenty of trees and wildlife so take care when traveling this stretch. Beautiful scenery of you love Michigan outdoors.

Drive Enjoyment

There a a few spots where you should pay attention but overall the roads are very good. At or near the towns is where you have to pay attention more.

Tourism Opportunities

There are plenty of spots to stop and get some good small town food or re-fuel when needed. There are a few places to lay your head if the need arises.

I ride this route to visit my Dad a couple times a year ( I've been known to dbl. back around Half Moon Lake to ride the long sweeping corners a couple of times if traffic is lite) . If you have time take M-37 north all the way to Traverse City. M-37 is best north of Baldwin.

The most important amenity wasn't even mentioned, which is Jones's Homemade Ice Cream Shop in Baldwin! You can't go to or through Baldwin without a stop there for the worlds best homemade ice cream!
